A Day in the Life of a Garden Dog

What is the day in the life of a garden dog? It's late spring in Maryland and the dogs find themselves following their humans as the humans finally get in on the fun of digging, investigating plants, and getting some sun. This is a POV of a Garden Dog.

Good morning, world! Finally, the human has risen and consumed their funny, brown water.

After breakfast, I follow human outside. They put on their weird outside paws and we walk to the garden.

I love the garden! So much soft dirt for digging really super fast. So many bugs to chase and show who's the boss.

Human loves the dirt digging too, I think I'm helping them because occassionally they get mad at the dirt and pull out all the smelly plants.

I've completed the rounds and confirmed no intruders to my territory. I've researched the smells and found no treasures. The sun is so bright and warm, human is safe, I think it's time for a nap.

How long has the human been out here? Maybe if I drink from the water bowl, they will remember to drink too.

Some birds come looking for seeds and nesting materials. Not on my watch! Time to bark. And Squirrels beware.

A job well done deserves a nap in the shade of the Mulberry tree.

The whole day has gone by, human smells really great for once but I dont see any difference in our garden! Time for dinner!

Love, Pepper Dog
